Flavour Le Flank
It’s not the fanciest cut of steak but it’s tasty and a snap to prepare. I like to marinate it in a zip-lock bag for a few hours or overnight. When you’re ready to flank throw it on the grill or under the broil for 4 to 6 min a side. Let it REST then cut thinly ACROSS the grain. Its that simple. Here are a few marinade ideas or live a little and make one up.
Spicy
1 teaspoon chili flakes
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 cup of chopped scallions
1/4 cup cilantro
3 tablespoons of orange juice
Garlicky
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup soy
6 cloves of crushed garlic
1/4 cup parsley
Pepper
Gingery
1 tablespoon of fresh ginger grated or minced
2 garlic cloves crushed
Juice of one lime
1 tablespoon honey
3 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
