Cheeeeessy Scones
Until recently I thought Muesli came in a box. Hell no. My friend sent me this recipe created by Dr Bircher-Benner in the 1890s for the patients in his Zurich clinic. It’s the ideal breakfast, naturally combining fruits, nuts and oats. AND it makes itself!
1 1/2 cup of oatmeal 1/2 cup of raisins or other dried fruit 1 Lemon, juice 2 Apples or other fruit chopped 2 tbsp coconut 1/4 cup of your favorite nuts chopped and toasted if you like 2–4 tbsp honey
Place the oats and raisins in a bowl and pour over 200ml cold water and the lemon juice. Leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning stir in fruit, nuts and coconut. Serve with honey and yogurt.
